I need a lawyer for my 17 yr. old son who is being mistreated by his school. My son has serval disabilities.?
My son is having problems in the wake county schools (raleigh, nc). The teachers get frustrated with him and write up for things that he can't control. The school has labled him in a negative way. His rights have been violated in many ways. There is alot more going on and we need to find representation fast. He is being discriminated against, mentally abused as well as neglected.

You should look at your states bar association for a list of lawyers. For example: Illinois State Bar Association http://www.illinoisbar.org/ has a link to http://www.illinoislawyerfinder.com/ Which you can search "Select a Field of Practice = DISABILITY". Do the same kind of search or call your local library. They will know where to look.

I have a friend who is an attorney and she told me that there are lawyers who specialize in school law. They would be right for this. I can't suggest how to find them except look for other school cases that have had suits. But i know they exist.

You need to join Pre-Paid Legal. It is in every state. And is a monthly membership thing. Look it up at Pre-Paid Legal.com. The monthly membership is only $17.00 a month.They have excellent lawyers that specialize in certain things and will do you well.
